We will create the SQL and, if we have remote access rights to your database, install the small file containing the Special SQL Selection objects. This offer is valid through to the end of October 2014. If your Prophecy database is hosted on SQL Server then we can create selections based on the your Prophecy data, or any other database which can be connected to via ODBC. If your Prophecy database is a file-mode database then it won’t be possible to build selections based on the Prophecy database content (because it cannot be queried using SQL). However, we can still build Special SQL Selection scripts against other databases we can connect to. So please do contact Pete to discuss what’s possible! Special SQL-based selection scripts are the ‘big idea’ in the latest version of Prophecy but it also contains several minor improvements and fixes. For example, the Fact selector now highlights which facts are read-write or read-only to the user and the Prophecy calculator now ‘floats’, allowing you to freely navigate through your report without having to close the calculator first. The Prophecy Database Manager has several new features, such as scripted SQL Server database maintenance plans to re-optimize indexes, the ability to zip nominated files to time- stamped zip files within Prophecy scripts and numerous ‘under the bonnet’ tweaks and optimizations.
